Child development and early learning are key to Vincentian Child Discovery Center Greentree. See how we cater to the specific needs of each age group while instilling a love of learning from the beginning. For more information call us at 412-548-4111. Monday – Friday 6:30am – 6pm

Infant

Our infant program is comprised of two classrooms. Children are assigned to the appropriate classroom based on age and development. Each classroom provides age-appropriate activities and individualized warm and loving care.  The ratio of staff to infants is 1:4.

Toddler

Toddlers are organized into two classrooms, Young Toddlers and Older Toddlers. Children are provided progressive hands-on structured activities and opportunities to develop independence and social skills in a safe nurturing environment. The ratio of staff to toddlers is 1:5 or 1:6.

Preschool

There are two preschool classrooms based on age. Each classroom is divided into activity and learning areas where children can explore both structured and free play experiences. Small group lessons will be planned relating to math, language arts, science and social studies daily. Music, art, large muscle activities are provided as both planned and free play experiences. All activities in the preschool program support the development of necessary social skills. The ratio of staff to preschool children is 1:10.

Our goal is to help children explore and experience the world around them as they participate in age-appropriate educational activities. Daily activities are varied and may include free play, circle time, group work sessions, music, arts & crafts, science and outdoor activities. Each classroom develops a weekly lesson plan that follows the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards. Explore VCDC and see how we care and encourage a love of learning from an early age. For the school year we offer monthly tuition rates with full time or part time options.
