Vincentian Collaborative System announced today that Nick Vizzoca has been appointed President & CEO. Vizzoca will also join the VCS Board of Directors.
“Mr. Vizzoca’s selection was unanimous following a national search,” said Mark Stadler, VCS Board of Directors Chairperson. “Nick has a proven track record of strategic management and results-driven leadership. We are pleased to welcome him to the Vincentian family.”
Vizzoca, a recognized leader in the Western Pennsylvania healthcare industry, most recently served as Executive Administrator/Vice President of Operations for UPMC’s Department of Critical Care Medicine and ICU Service Center. In that role, he oversaw UPMC’s critical care training program and intensive care unit system, serving thousands of patients annually.
A lifelong Pittsburgh-area native, Vizzoca resides in Hampton Township with his wife Marie and three children.
“The Vincentian ministry of compassionate care has stood the test of time. I deeply respect the Sisters and all those who make the mission possible on a daily basis,” Vizzoca said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to help carry on this proud tradition.”
Vizzoca succeeds Ray Washburn, who last year announced his retirement effective June 30, 2016. Washburn had served as President and CEO since 2010.

Vincentian Collaborative System is a Catholic not-for-profit health care and human services organization that coordinates three senior care communities in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area – Marian Manor, Vincentian de Marillac and Vincentian Home.
Sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, the Vincentian ministries offer a continuum of care including independent living, personal care, memory care, short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing. Vincentian also operates Vincentian Villa, an independent living community in the North Hills; a charitable foundation; two child care centers and a rehabilitation company providing comprehensive therapy services. VCS serves more than 1,000 seniors annually and employs nearly 800 people.
